THE OFFICE OF THE PEOPLE’S ADVOCATE LAUNCHES THE ON-LINE STUDY MODULE, THE E-LEARNING THROUGH THE COURSE “WHISTLEBLOWER”

The Office of the People’s Advocate, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Moldova, launches the online study module, the E-learning through the course “Whistleblower”.

E-learning is a modern platform created by the Office of the People’s Advocate for the online study of various subjects in the field of human rights. The platform contributes to the development of human rights education, and promotes knowledge of human rights, provides free access to information in a flexible and comfortable environment.

The course “Whistleblower” is launched within the information campaigns about whistleblower carried out by the Office of the People’s Advocate and aims to provide users of the site www.ombudsman.md information about what is whistleblower, how to do it, who is the whistleblower and how is it protected.

By accessing the course at the link http://ombudsman.md/courses/ , users can learn how to disclose illegal practices and which is specific about whistleblower in the private and public sectors; which illegalities can be the subject of the disclosure; and which are the protection guarantees for those who make warnings of corruption.

The course “Whistleblower” is launched in Romanian http://ombudsman.md/courses/  and in Russian http://ombudsman.md/ru/courses/.

The Office of the People’s Advocate is one of the institutions that ensures the protection of whistleblowers. The People’s Advocate may ask the employer to stop intimidating and arguing against whistleblowers and, where appropriate, may represent the interests of whistleblowers in court, as well as submit conclusions or opinions on cases that are already pending.
