On the Decade for Human Rights, 12th December 2018, the head of Varniţa’s representative of the People’s Advocate Office, Veaceslav Ursu, has some lessons for primary and secondary classess from the Theoretical Lyceum “Lucian Blaga”.
The children from the left bank of the Dniester River learned about the importance of children’s rights and the work of the Child’s Ombudsman, also they found out about the importance of adopting and proclaiming by the UN General Assembly, 70 years ago, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was the first global expression of human rights and one of the first major achievements of the United Nations. Also, all children received bookmarks set, realized by the People’s Advocate Office.
